The summit lies on the border between the municipalities of Andermatt in the Swiss Canton Uri on its west side and Tujetsch in Graubünden on the east side. A ridge leads from the summit without major elevation changes along the cantonal border south to point 2742, then drops to Martschallücke (2684 m a.s.l.) and rises to Rossbodenstock (2837 m a.s.l.). From point 2742 a hiking trail continues southeast to Badushütte and Tomasee.
