From the slopes of Monte Cregnedul impressive avalanches detach that in years of abundant snowfall reach to interrupt the road between Sella Nevea and Cave del Predil; and chamois know it well too that where deep avalanches detach finally a meal is available even in full winter. Reaching the summit is a balance game to choose the best moment when the slope has settled a bit and before snow becomes unstable again due to temperatures on the slope.
