On the way from Tardos to Gerecse, the Serédi Castle unfolds before us, a standout sight in the already wonderful surroundings. The holiday home next to the forester's lodge was built in 1935 by Cardinal Jusztinián Serédi, Prince-Primate and Archbishop of Esztergom, awarded the Corvin Chain. After nationalization in 1950, it operated as a Budapest children's holiday home. In 1999, it was returned to the church, and it is now operated by the Franciscan high school and dormitory in Esztergom as a youth hostel.
