By bike from Gries to Amberger Hut, then over Hohe Egg and west ridge to Schrankogel (3497 m). Total 1970 hm, 17 km. The high valley by the hut is already fascinating, the panoramic view from the top into all glacier worlds and high peaks is breathtaking.
