Description:
The castle Obertrixen was first mentioned in documents in 895 and was a gift from Emperor Arnulf to the husband of Hemma von Gurk. However, until the 14th century, the documents usually did not distinguish between Obertrixen, Mittertrixen, and Niedertrixen.
