Description: Production Associazione vivere la montagna. Luca Bettosini. Roquebrune Cap MartinTrue pearl of the Riviera, nestled between Menton and Monaco, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin with about 12,000 inhabitants, located at 300 meters, is a magnificent locality perched on the heights of the Mediterranean. The name Roquebrune first appears in 1157 and comes from the brown stones used to build the old village houses. The territory extends along the coast between the border with the Principality of Monaco and the Gorbio stream, which descends from the homonymous municipality. In the center it juts out into the sea with Cap Martin. There are thus two districts: the historic perched village (Roquebrune) and the more modern coastal area (Cap Martin) where I spent a few vacation days at the Hotel Alexandra located a few meters from the sea which I recommend. Cap Martin is a rocky finger just 2 km long protruding into the Mediterranean at Roquebrune, just east of Monaco.
