Update: The Bettelwurfsteig has been open again since June 2018!

Due to acute rockfall hazard, the popular trail to Bettelwurfhütte in the Tiroler Karwendel had to be closed. To make the Bettelwurfsteig passable again and to defuse the affected area as much as possible, the Innsbruck Alpine Club removed a lot of loose material from the wall in May 2017.
