Description:
Challenging ascent to a four-thousander of the Allain massif via the Normal Route along the West Ridge. Not having found space for overnight at Britannia Hut, we had to do it as a day trip; we departed at 2 am from Saas Fee, climbed all the pistes (without using the lifts of course), passing the hut (to try booking a bed for the evening to avoid returning to Saas Fee the same day) and continued to the summit... It was tough but we made it!!! P.S. the bed for the evening was luckily available...
