Easy and scenic hike suitable for everyone.
We park after Alba di Canazei at the Ciampac cable car parking lot and take the gravel road with signpost 602 that quickly climbs into Val de Contrin up to baita Locia, we continue flat until crossing the Ruf de Contrin river and continuing with a gentle climb we pass baita Cianci. We climb among pines and larches and reach rifugio Contrin. We continue for a short stretch crossing Val Rosalia and in 5 minutes we reach Malga Contrin. Stunning views at the foot of Marmolada and Cime Ombretta.
