Description: Production Associazione vivere la montagna. Luca Bettosini and Ely Riva. I want to make a small premise about this film starting by saying that I am not a director but just an enthusiast amateur videomaker who tries, with this kind of videos, to make a specific theme better known in our wonderful Ticino. Online I found no video talking about rock engravings except some short clips that said nothing and so I embarked on this venture. Ely Riva and I started searching for cup-marked boulders in Ticino and Italian Grisons (in Valle Mesolcina) on August 9, 2022. In this brief premise we are in December 2022 and in 123 days of continuous research we searched and found over 240 registered cup-marked boulders and over 190 new cup-marked boulders, never registered and thus new discoveries for a total of over 420 cup-marked boulders. These registered boulders in the ISSD list have cards over 40 years old with mostly wrong coordinates and prehistoric photos when there are any, otherwise just sketches of the engravings⦠For each single boulder we have a complete report, exact GPS coordinates, photographic and video service of the itinerary, discovery, cleaning and highlighting with chalking. With our cleaning these boulders will remain visible for other decades! What you will hear in this film does not come from dubious web sources but from authoritative sources by archaeologists, astronomers, scientists from various disciplines and others who wrote important books on rock engravings that I patiently found especially on the academia.EDU site. A scientific website where the best books on rock engravings from all over the world are found. These are therefore expert information reported in their scientific books and not my ideas or taken from some general website. In this second part the film that I divided into two parts concludes. A great job that I hope you like.
