Description:
Rakytov (1567 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the so-called Liptov branch of the main ridge of Veľká Fatra. From the summit there is a circular view of Veľká Fatra, Nízke Tatry, Malá Fatra and Západné Tatry.
The summit is covered with artificially planted dwarf pine, above 1300 m a.s.l. the beech forest transitions to the subalpine zone. A cross is erected on the summit. At the southern foot there is an interesting formation - Skalná brána.
