Description:
Ostrá (1,263 m a.s.l.) is a prominent peak on the western side of Veľká Fatra, in the sub-unit Bralná Fatra.
Together with Tlstá (1,373 m a.s.l.), it forms a striking dominant feature of the upper Turiec. Marked trails lead to it from Gaderská and Blatnická valleys. It has two summits, with a marked trail only to the eastern one. From the saddle between the summits, one can climb to the western summit via a hardened unmarked path. It offers a view of the entire Turčianska kotlina.
