Tamina Kallert sets out in North Jutland in search of the proverbial Danish coziness ('hyggelig') and finds relaxed people, old traditions, spectacular natural phenomena, small towns with pastel-colored houses - and a very special light. Via the idyllic Lønstrup to the surfer town Lokken and the wild Jammerbucht. She drives through the Limfjord to the Baltic coast and returns via Sæby to Skagen. Her constant companions are the wind and the sand: on the beaches, on Europe's largest hiking dune and on the cliffs of Lønstrup, where a lighthouse was almost buried by sand. And 'hyggelig' is much: the cold beer in the beach sauna as well as meditative work at the potter's wheel.
