This little known Desert Hike and Scramble Near Capitol Reef National Park Packs a Huge Punch with Extraordinary & Unique Vistas. I was able to take advantage of this with a lot of quality DJI drone footage! A relatively Short but Steep trail leads us through Surreal Mancos Hills and then up a Steep Loose Gully to a High Bench under a Majestic Shear Walled Summit Crown. From the bench, the route wraps around to the North side of the Mesa arriving at a steep ramp. That deposits you below a Short but Tough Brittle Scramble that accesses an Amazing Slot like Hanging Canyon above or, take a Tight squeeze tunnel under a giant Boulder to reach the slot, I took the high scary road. . . The Slot weaves through a Cluster of the Crowning Towers as it meanders up the last few vertical feet to reach the Breathtaking Summit! The biggest Danger is Brittle Sandstone. Exercise Extreme Cation and avoid pulling on any hand holds that have not been thoroughly tested. . . !
