Description:
The rock block of Rettenkogel dominates the valley between Bad Ischl and Wolfgangsee. It draws the eyes from afar and pushes the no less wild Bergwerkskogel behind it into the background. But both Salzkammergut summits together form a dreamlike and airy ridge crossing. The almost vertical 30m high key section of Rettenkogel and some secured passages of Bergwerkskogel test the cool gaze into the depths.
