Description:
A mountain tour in May to 3000m? Without skis? Yes, it's possible. Namely in Sölden. Rotkogel is exactly right for entering the mountain season. At 2,947m it is just below the 3,000m mark but offers similar conditions. In summer an easy hiking mountain, in winter and with snow a good alpine exercise. The short 2.5 to 3h ascent is worth the effort. So pack crampons and hiking poles, and off we go.
