Extremely popular and most spectacular ascent in Gesäuse, where the term 'path' is not literal; Peternpfad is a climbing route of 2nd difficulty grade, equipped with pegs at exposed spots but not via ferrata insured! Combined with Roßkuppengrat to Hochtor, it is one of the longest and most rewarding rock ascents in the northern Limestone Alps. The ascent is continuously red-marked and often used for descent as well.
