Description:
08-07-2022: Route km. 8 Elevation gain Mt. 750. Starting point is the parking lot near the chapel of the Val Tramontina Alpine Group and the start of the CAI 826 drivable track (signs for Ursula Nagel trail), leaving on the right the track leading to the nearby casera Somp La Mont. The track, partly asphalted and partly dirt, with numerous hairpin turns ends at the panoramic plateau of casera Monte Rest; the main building is open and equipped with tables, benches and mattress nets. The casera is at the base of the grassy slope of the south side of Monte Rest, on whose summit there are numerous telecommunications installations. Behind the casera follow the CAI 826 trail that cuts across the entire slope until reaching the southeast ridge of the mountain. Leave the CAI trail and continue on the evident track that follows the ridge to the summit.
