Description:
SUMMARY. We climb from Morbegno to Albaredo and continue until finding, after the second right hairpin (km 15), a small road branching left from the provincial road to San Marco. We take it and after a right hairpin park at a parking lot (1380 m). We ascend the marked trail by the parking, going to Scöccia, Corte Grassa, Corte Grande and Cornelli (1739 m), intercepting a dirt track which, taken right, passes above Alpe Baitridana to Rifugio Alpe Piazza (1835 m). The track continues past a small valley to a baitone and Bivacco Legüi (1898 m). Here we leave the track for a faint trace rising behind the bivouac southeastwards across a grassy basin to the ridge at a large cairn. Following the ridge we reach the summit of Monte Lago (2353 m) easily.
