Description:
In September 2022, we hiked the southern section of the Merano High Trail on a 3-day tour. From St. Martin im Passeier Tal, on the first day we went up to Gfeis and continued via Longfallhof to Gasthof Hochmuth. The next day we hiked via Hans-Frieden-Felsenweg to Leiteralm and on to Hochganghaus. Then via Hohe Wiege to Giggelberg. On the last day, we first went through the 1,000 Steps Gorge to Pirchhof and further to Unterstell. Finally, the trail led above the Schnalstal valley to our destination, the small village of Katharinaberg.
