Description: A long-cherished idea was implemented on Good Friday: a long-distance hike! We set Bad Tölz as our goal, 60 km south from Munich along the Isar. Shortly after sunrise, we set off from home and walked the first km through the city to Wolfratshausen (about 25 km) on familiar terrain, partly also known as the Munich Way of St. James towards the south. At km 30, not only the first loaves of bread were unpacked, but also plasters for chafing spots. Up to that point, it was relaxed and fun, but the closer we got to the marathon distance, the more the soles of our feet hurt. From km 50, it became mentally challenging, as the root-filled paths in the forest and marsh seemed endless. But knowing that we would see it through together and had already come so far, no doubts were voiced, and we marched on together. Focused on the 9 p.m. train, we pushed ourselves the last painful km to the station! 13 hours!
