Description:
Afternoon training walk from Prato Nevoso to Rifugio Balma. This refuge is located near Colletto Balma in a panoramic spot of the nearby Ligurian Alps peaks and the Cuneo Plain. It is also reachable by car and indeed due to its easy accessibility it is a very frequented place. From the video, the mountains already whitened by the first dusting of seasonal snow can be seen. Slightly to the right of the refuge is Monte Mongioie, Cima della Brignola, Cima Seirasso, the bulk of Monte Mondolè, farther away Bisalta and Monviso. Finally, the Cuneo Plain with Prato Nevoso under Monte Moro and Monte Malanotte is seen. The last mountain seen before encountering the refuge again is Monte Fantino. A sunny afternoon with pleasant temperatures.
