Description:
Start from Sappada following the main road towards S. Stefano until the first tunnel, pass it and after 50m turn right towards Val Visdende. Here the road starts to climb initially gently then more demanding. Enter Val Visdende at 1250m where the road flattens, at first junction turn left (Pra Marino) shortly after at second junction straight ahead (malga Dignas). After 17km reach 1670m of malga Dignas, at 19th km malga Campobon at 1927m, from here stay at altitude passing at km 22 Malga Cècido 2014m, then Malga Manzon km 24.5 and 1890m then reaching km 29.5 Casera Chiastelin 1968m and Casera Antola 1872m. From there proceed to km 35.5 of malga Chivion 1745m where you can decide to descend directly into Val Visdende then climb back to Sappada along the main road, or as in our case turn towards trail 134, then leave it after about 800m to turn into a descending meadow to the right with signs to Piave springs. From here descend entering a wood where less experienced will dismount for almost the entire descent, then remount after the first 2km long climb section characterized by 18 switchbacks. Arrived at Piave springs descend on the asphalt road back to Sappada village.
