My trekkings in Lombardy continue: Sasso del Ferro (1062 m) is one of the peaks of the Prealpi Varesine, located right behind Laveno Mombello.
There are various ways to reach it: the easiest is to take the cable car. From the center of Laveno, you reach Poggio Sant’Elsa (949 m) in a few minutes, from which you arrive at the summit in about twenty minutes.
