Description:
Video dedicated to the ascent of one of the most interesting mountains of the Lepontine Alps and Val Formazza. We ascended from Valdo di Formazza via Rifugio Margaroli and the normal Vannino route (with descent and return via the same route). Great ascent on a still well-snow-covered glacier without tracks (we provided them! Trip of Gruppo Camosci CAI Liguria Genoa organized by Stelvio Lanzone and Fabiano Sciaccaluga with 10 participants: Davide Ircolo, Maria Carla Parrotta, Giuliana Pizzolito, Giorgio Intili, Jagoda Boruch, Enrico Calvauna, Luigi Crovetto, Sergio Costigliolo, Felice Aloisi, Enio Rulli. Difficulty: E to Rifugio Margaroli, F+ from hut to Punta d'Arbola summit. Elevation gain: 422 m (day 1), 1041 m (day 2). We overnighted at the excellent Rifugio Margaroli, very comfortable and well-managed. If you feel like going, here's the route report http://www.gulliver.it/itinerario/13517/.
