Description:
Almost at the eastern end of the Alps is the beautiful Hochschwab mountain range. The highest peak is also called Hochschwab (2277 m above sea level). The mountain chain is a beautiful and huge limestone ridge with two thousand peaks. You will also find several caves here. The entire range is interwoven with a series of hiking trails. The well-known long-distance trail Nordalpenweg also runs here. You will also find the beautiful lake Leopoldsteinersee or the small mountain lake Sackwiesensee.
