An ultra hard mountain bike tour if done with own muscle power, so without E-Bike. We start in St. Vigil and no time for longer warm-up phase, immediately brutally steep first a bit in Furkeltal, then right into Val Fojedöra where immediately the steep gravel ramps begin, in between always rideable again, finally though 30% ramps, there already problems pushing. The hard effort pays off however, because now follows (definitely enter the right trail and not the left downhill to hochalm as there waits a longer push passage) an incredible high-altitude flow trail always at 2200 m height to Grünwaldjoch, where an incredible scenery takes our breath away. Short below Grünwaldjoch left into Val dles Cacagnares - initially very gravelly trail - here we have to do ca 50 Hm a vertical scree passage on foot - then again good rideable, however demanding and follows between dwarf pines and stream bed, with passages for 'gravel surfing' - framed by a mighty Dolomites scenery - until we reach in the larch valley lovely alpine meadows and past Alte Kaser on racy gravel path through Grünwaldtal and past Grünwaldalm to the picturesque Pragser Wildsee. We are impressed and overwhelmed by the crystal clear turquoise lake and linger a moment. We circle the lake on left shore and plunge at Pragser Wildsee Hotel into the hustle of people - fairground atmosphere prevails - as this picturesque place was a filming location with Bud Spencer. We leave the hustle and branch left onto the trail which initially still narrow and rooty, soon however becomes a wide forest road and flowy we shred into Pragsertal and follow the bike path to Schmieden - after the saw definitely stay on bike path into Pustertal right downhill - we did the diligent uphill left to Brandterhof, which one spares. We then reach the junction bike path Bruneck/Innichen. We follow bike path direction Bruneck and ride over Welsberg and Olanger reservoir to Oberolang and over Mittelolang to the gondola station Olang 1 and 2 - Attention! the thunderstorm in June 2022 ripped away the bridge to valley station and is being renewed - we had to wade through the stream which had little water! We reached just in time at 16:35 (last ride at 17:00) the gondola. 1100 Hm we enjoy the ascent in the gondola and look fascinated back to Olanger reservoir where we cycled over from Pragsertal. Arrived at Kronplatz the cable car doors close behind us. We enjoy the quiet and wonderful atmosphere at the Concordia bell of Kronplatz. During the day also here always lively fairground atmosphere. Dreamlike panorama surrounds us. For a moment we absorb the incredible atmosphere.
