The Kaiserstuhl is a volcanic low mountain range rising between the Black Forest and the Vosges in the Upper Rhine Plain.

The region is mainly known for winegrowing. The places and municipalities within the Kaiserstuhl have merged into the town of Vogtsburg. The naming locality is the small town of Vogtsburg, today Alt Vogtsburg.
