It's official, K2 is climbed in winter. Nepalese climbers finally reached the summit of K2 on the afternoon of January 16, 2021 at 5pm local time. It is the first winter ascent of k2, the second peak on earth, and the only 8000m peak not yet climbed in winter, the most dangerous season. A great success in the history of mountaineering.
