One of our best and most versatile mountaineers Janez Jeglič - Johan fatally fell in 1997 during the ascent of the Nepalese seven-thousander Nuptse. He himself ensured that younger generations of climbers remember him with numerous exceptional mountaineering achievements. For many years, they remembered him in a very pleasant way at his memorial, which his long-time climbing partner and friend Silvo Karo organized with friends. Part of this memorial was an interesting climbing competition. In 2008, our best sport climbers and female climbers competed in speed climbing on the big Osapska wall.
