Description:
Jalovec couloir or 'Kuloar' as we mountaineers call it, is a steep gully descending along the eastern part of the north face of Jalovec (2645 m). At the top of the couloir is a watershed where waters divide to Adriatic and Black Sea side. We ascended through the couloir at the beginning of April 2018 and skied down to the Black Sea side or Tamar valley. Skied Slovenian-Bosnian-Serbian team Boris Strmšek, Saša Mehmedika and Mihajlo Vukojičić, so called Rakun Team. Because the sun burned us so much that we were like crayfish. We did not ascend to Jalovec summit due to avalanche danger in the upper part.
