Description:
When trekking becomes spectacle it is S'Istrada 'e Donneneittu paired with Cengia Ruvio. It is a fabulous and panoramic ring tour that takes place in the high and articulated walls of the right bank of the large gorge Codula di Luna near and around the Gola di Gorroppeddu. S'Istrada 'e Donneneittu is a historic path that the shepherd used to take to the homonymous sheepfold. It is essentially a long ledge where in the points where there is no rock to place the feet, it has been supplemented with two handcrafted very airy wooden walkways. Cengia Ruvio instead, the fruit of a fortunate intuition, was 'discovered' (in the sense that it was not known to the hiking world) by the Sirboni in 2013 and traverses two long amphitheaters on the contour line without ever being dangerous. At first glance impassable due to optical effect and with the entrance almost hidden, this pearl of the Supramonte certainly constitutes one of the most beautiful and evocative passages, providing an alternative to the better-known ascent of Scalone Ruvio. In fact, once traversed, and exiting from the opposite side, one can climb to Genna Ostuno arriving exactly where Scalone Ruvio arrives.
