Mount Ruiu is a small porphyry mountain complex with a reddish color that rises in the area of Lake Casteldoria near the homonymous castle. The mountain is located right between two small villages with few inhabitants, Giuncana to the north and Scopaggiu to the south, reaching its maximum height at P.ta Manna 530 m a.s.l. This mountain has an environment completely different from all surrounding territories, both in morphology and vegetation type, and offers a pleasant and unusual technical itinerary.
