Lisbon is the coastal and mountainous capital of Portugal. From the imposing castle of San Jorge, the view encompasses the pastel-colored buildings in the ancient city, the Tagus estuary and the 25 de Abril suspension bridge. Nearby, the National Tile Museum exhibits 5 centuries of decorative ceramic tiles. Just outside of Lisbon there is a strip of beaches in the Atlantic, from Cascaes to Estoril.
