Hiking Zugspitze via Gatterl, guaranteed the easiest route to Germany's highest mountain. That is, it's for beginners, in my opinion the best hike to the summit. But still, the ascent has its challenges. Therefore, beginners should not underestimate this hike either. In total, there are several other different ascent routes to the summit at 2,962 meters. I decided on the Zugspitze beginner hiking trail via Gatterl. In total, I have to overcome 2100hm to reach the summit.
