Description: Stratovolcano of the Pelée type, located in Basse-Terre of Guadeloupe. It has permanent emissions of fumaroles with high sulfur content.<br>La Grande Soufrière ('big sulfur outlet'), is an active stratovolcano on the French island of Basse-Terre, in Guadeloupe. It is the highest peak in the Lesser Antilles, rising 1,467 m high.
