Description:
Großvenediger is one of Austria's highest mountains. It is located in the Hohe Tauern in the Venediger Group. I start my tour at Hopffeldboden parking near Neukirchen in Obersulzbachtal. The parking is fee-based. From there up to the material cable car of Kürsinger Hütte and to the hut. With an overnight stay, you're well set after the long ascent path. In the morning at 5am to Obersulzbach Glacier, past Kleinenvenediger up to Venedigerscharte and finally to the summit of Großvenediger, 3,666m. Ascent time from hut about 5 hours plus 3 hours descent.
