Description:
This beautiful body of water is part of the Maritime Alps Park and is one of the largest, located in a secluded spot in a branch of Vallone di M. Colomb. It formed from an ancient glacier during the Quaternary, with noticeable erosive action on the rocks around the lake; prehistoric rock engravings are also present but very hard to find, eroded by time.
