The start is at Steinerhütte at 1560m altitude, which can be reached by car.
From Steinerhütte (or from Druckerhütte about 15 minutes to Steinerhütte) briefly east, cross a ditch and then immediately on path No. 342 over a weakly pronounced ridge up to the main ridge, first still through forest, then soon in open terrain.
