From Etrachsee to Rudolf-Schober-Hütte from there following the trail markings to Schimpelscharte, from Schimpelscharte descend about 150m to a trail junction left to Sankt Nikolei and right a well visible path to Süßleiteck through a very steep gully up to a saddle the ascent is partially secured with ropes, at the top saddle descend again about 100m the descent is very steep and also secured with ropes, then again very steeply in switchbacks to the summit the view from the summit compensates for the strenuous and long ascent. Descent as ascent 1500m and 17km to be covered on the tour.
