With a waist of 80mm and 900 grams (size 165), the DYNAFIT Blacklight Pro is the lightest ski touring ski. The ski consists of Paulownia Race Core optimized for weight with an ultralight UD Carbon construction. UD is the abbreviation for the one-directional (“uni”) arrangement of the carbon fibers. Compared to classic carbon construction, this engineering lends higher tensile strength and greater durability while maintaining a lower density. Thanks to its 3D construction, the ski lowers its total weight to reduce its swing weight in front of and behind the binding area. Thus, the ski offers extremely stable handling despite its light weight. The rocker construction at the tip and tail and the sidecut are also adapted for each ski size, a unique feature in the ski touring market. This keeps the effective edge length equally proportional to each size, allowing it to function independently of the size. In order to guarantee the best possible power transfer from skier to ski, the ski is constructed with a full ABS sidewall. In addition, the base of the Blacklight Pro Ski has a special racing grind to ensure you are the fastest one on the mountain. One highlight of the ski is the attachment for skins. With the new PIN-SKIN System, the skin is no longer attached to the tail or stretched. Rather, it is anchored with a small pin and a corresponding insert directly in the ski. This system not only saves time when transitioning, it also increases its glide and ensures a perfect interplay of ski and skin. At the same time, it also saves unneeded weight, which is truly essential on demanding terrain. With the PIN-SKIN, the skin is a Race Pro 2.0 skin from POMOCA. The Blacklight Pro can also be used with the normal Dynafit Speed Skin along its entire length.
