The common usage in Dévoluy is often to have eyes only for its summits. A bad habit that generally leads to missing what the massif has to offer inside. In the peaceful hollow of its lands, Dévoluy houses not only farms and ski resorts. I have listed three spots - which I consider essential - that can be linked in a single, fairly long hike to join the club of those privileged ones seeking a more intimate experience of the massif: the panorama of Crête des Baumes, the astonishing Gorges du Rif, and above all, the cool and aquatic universe of Puits des Bans. A trio of striking points of interest, gathered around a surprisingly varied trail. Between forest, meadow, and rock, set off to discover the inner Dévoluy.
