The Dent Blanche is a largely ice-free mountain peak in the Valais Alps, in the south of the canton of Valais, about 10 km west of Zermatt. With a height of nearly 4357 m a.s.l., Dent Blanche ranks sixteenth among the highest peaks of the Alps. The Dent Blanche is crossed by the language boundary between French and German in Upper Valais.
