The Alerce Glacier is accessed by connecting the Rocca (Paso de las Nubes) and Meiling refuges on Cerro Tronador.
The trail starts at Pampa Linda. The first part is a common path to both refuges. It continues to Rocca refuge where you overnight on the first day.
