Description:
Ascent of the nearly/exactly 2000 m Gingilos in Crete's White Mountains from Xyloskalo.
Xyloskalo is the entry to the Samaria Gorge from the Omalos Plateau.
In summer thousands descend the gorge daily to Agia Roumeli. Higher up it gets much quieter. Mid-August we met only 5 people.
