Description:
I left the warmth of home to 'conquer' the winter Tatras. The challenge was to visit 6 mountain huts from Dec 1, 2019 to Feb 29, 2020. Quoting the organizers: 'You change things, but experiences last a lifetime.' They are right. Whether in a blizzard, wading through deep snow on impassable lost trails, or sunburned – memories remain that I gladly share. It's not for me to rate the huts' quality, but thanks to all for hospitality and care for hikers.
