North of Dublin lies a beautiful peninsula, the Howth Peninsula. Here you can enjoy nice walks along the town's seaside or more challenging excursions on the cliffs and inland. The town of Howth, founded in Viking times and Dublin's medieval port, is a nice tourist center rich in pubs and with a characteristic harbor. From here the various hikes start.
