Description:
CLAPSAVON and BIVERA are two mountains of the Carnic Alps, subsection Western Tolmezzine. The hike involves a loop passing through Casera Chiansaveit allowing to reach both summits. Most of the route has no difficulties, but to close the loop one must traverse the thin and exposed ridge (equipped with a rope) descending from Clapsavon to Forcella Bivera. Starting point: Casera Razzo, reachable from both Sauris and Val Pesarina. Route: behind the hut starts a forest road (CAI 210) leading to Casera Chiansaveit. From here right continues CAI 210 to the homonymous saddle. Turn left and follow a well visible track that, crossing a scree, leads to the ridge and then to the top of Clapsavon. Then proceed east to the thin ridge descending to Forcella Bivera. Right from the saddle branches a track up to the top of Bivera. After reaching the second summit and returning to the saddle, descend along the scree of the north side, which then becomes path CAI 212 and returns to Casera Chiansaveit closing the loop. To conclude the hike, take back the forest road used in the morning and return in about 40 minutes to Razzo.
