We choose a fairly safe itinerary that we've done other times, given the recent snowfalls. We're still in the Maddalene chain, starting from the hamlet of Pracorno Ingenga (Val di Sole). The ascent with skis allows cutting a good part of the road climb through meadows, intersecting the forest road only near the farms. As we climb, the environment opens up more and more, we pass Malga Cortinga di sotto and here the vegetation ends too.
