Description:
Cerro Punta Guanaco is located in the Valle del Arpa, a fertile valley that houses the namesake ski center, as well as multiple meadows and other neighboring summits such as Morro La Laguna and El Alto del Cobre. Its 3,742 meters of elevation offer a challenging day-hike alternative, as due to some access restrictions, a foot approach is required from a gate in the Campos de Ahumada sector, a few kilometers from the city of Los Andes.
